Team Biography

Welcome to the Southbrook Flames team page. The Flames started in 2020 at Under 8’s and have grown year on year, with eight players from the original lineup still with the team today including several players from the Southbrook Stars set up. 

 

We have a great team with a lovely mix of boys and girls. We play some great attractive football and always put on a performance for the amazing Flames supporters. Win or lose, every Flames player always walks off the pitch with a smile on their faces. Away from football we put on several team events over the seasons from bowling to barbecues and everything in between, this makes Flames family. 

 

Manager Mike White is very well respected within the grassroots football world, and brings a wealth of passion and experience to the team. Mike believes football should be enjoyed by all and delivers a learning style approach to his coaching ensuring all players develop and find their passion for the game. Mike holds the Level 1 qualification and is currently working towards UEFA C aiming to complete in 2024.

Mental Health Support Officer

As of the 2023/24 season, the committee have introduced a Mental Health Support Team, with each club having their own Support Officer to be the port of call for anyone suffering with mental health. 

The volunteer for Flames is Becci Geddes.
