Southbrook Y.F.C Knights Under 9's
Team Biography
Southbrook Knight's started in 2022 built from players from the fantastic Southbrook Stars group.
The first season saw Knights finish in fantastic fashion. Starting in the bottom league, they quickly progressed, and within 3 months climbed to EDMSL White 1. Knights continued to grow and improve and in the next 2 months, found themselves in the top League (Red 1) What a fantastic first season.
There was very little change in the second season with Knights, keeping most of the fantastic team together whilst adding some great players. Knights had a good pre-season, coming runners up in the main cup in Hamble's tournament. They then started the season well, in Red 2, where all the games was very close, It was a fantastic close and exciting league. Knights continued to build, but most importantly enjoy their football, from all the coaches, to the players and the supportive parents. Together, Knights achieved one of the most highly sought after rewards in grassroots football, and scored 100% respect score from the League! To top this off, team manager, Michael Fielden was awarded EDMSL u8's Manager of the Year.
We are now very much looking forward to next season and the new challenge of 7 a side.
