Southbrook Youth Football Club

Warriors were created from our Stars group that introduces the fun of football to 4-6 year olds. Warriors entered the EDMSL league at the under 7’s age group, and have moved through all age groups in EDMSL and have just finished their 2nd season in Tyro competing in the 3rd division. After a  good season it was looking like we might get promotion to division 2 until the Coronavirus pandemic hit; so we will remain in division 3 for the 2020/21 season.

We coach the team to be the best footballers they can be; this means learning from mistakes, or trying something new. Our football is based on the foundations of touch, pass, move; we encourage our players to be brave, to become comfortable with the ball at their feet. Due to this philosophy, Warriors play exciting football that utilises all the players on the pitch; this has led to some amazing passages of play and some extraordinary team goals.

Our philosophy is to coach players to want the ball at their feet, and to work as a team; we don’t coach to win, we want players to enjoy football, play with a smile on their face, and make friends through football.
