Team Biography

 

The Southbrook Tornadoes are heading into their 5th season in 2025/26, continuing to build on a strong foundation shaped by talent from the renowned Stars Academy. Three graduates from this legendary program remain at the heart of the team, bringing experience, unity, and leadership to a growing and increasingly diverse squad.

 

What began as an all-boys team has evolved into a mixed group of skilled and dedicated players, reflecting the club’s inclusive spirit and commitment to development.

 

Under the steady leadership of Manager Jason and Assistant Manager Dan, who have been with the Tornadoes since their formation in 2021, the team has matured into a resilient and well-organized unit. The addition of Coach Chris in 2022 brought a fresh energy to the setup, with his infectious enthusiasm helping push the team to new heights.

 

After two solid seasons in the EDMSL White 2 division and a hard-fought year in White 1, the Tornadoes’ dedication and progress have earned them a well-deserved promotion to the Red 3 division. With that comes another exciting leap forward as the team transitions from 7-a-side to 9-a-side football, marking a new chapter in their journey.

 

As they prepare to compete in the Tyro League for the first time, the Tornadoes are brimming with ambition and belief. With a tight-knit squad, strong leadership, and an ever-growing level of skill and chemistry, the future has never looked brighter.
